So it has been a long time since i updated my blog, and oddly still manage to get a few views and what not, I had two big problems over the past year one being a virus ruining a huge proportion of work i had done namely loosing a month or two of texture work and the second problem was the resulting crash of motivation from seeing all my work texture less and wanting to flip a desk, that included two fleshed levels which were huge and all my characters which i had below this post. Before then i had actually made a few web demo thingies that i sent to a few people it was a 2.5d version of things i had made with maya and unity but i was not very happy with how it was looking in unity as making normal maps was a pain in the ass. So after a long hiatus from working on it i decided to just play around with a few other options to using actual 3d models in my game and after salvaging a fair chunk of work i settled on making the game assets from 3d renders as apposed to 3d objects. And its been coming along very nicely so far.

My current goal to have my first game level/scene set up with all my animations for that level and some interactivity with some npc's currently i have the level almost finished maybe it needs a few tweaks here and there i have some pieces to add into it. At the moment i have use still frame renders for the npc's that will be in the level in various poses, and a few keys from the main character in  his orange outfit and couple of the farm workers who are meant to be mentally challenged clones doing stuff around the area. I still have a few buildings to place in and move some bits around but im really with how its coming along aesthetically at the moment.

At the moment i have a test scene which you can run around with the a premade test character from a tool kit im using  if you fancy a look at it in your web browser it may take a few minuets to install or less depending on your net connection all you have to do is allow it to install a unity web player plug in, its perfectly safe ! so

 Cleeeeeek Cleeeek Web Player

(arrows to move space to jump and fyi nothing to do in it but walk left and right :op)

Also my hard drive decided to slowly die on me and i cant do anything till my new one comes so feeeeeeeeep you hard drive failure.
